Filled with a huge biodiversity and featuring crucial characteristics to the world population quality of life, the Amazon rainforest is considered the major tropical rainforest on earth with more than  5.5 million square kilometers (2.1 million square miles).

One of the Forest's main contributions is its ability to store CARBON. Carbon is massively present on our Planet.

On the one hand, such an element adds to global warming. On the other hand, thanks to the Amazon rainforest, stored CARBON can help us deal positively with this global issue.

Another central point of the Amazon rainforest is its enormous fauna&flora nestling about 40 thousand plant and 3 hundred mammal species.

One last but not least key feature is the Forest's evapotranspiration, a phenomenon in which the Amazon rainforest balances and stabilizes the general weather of South America.
